Yes it IS an art. Just as expressing yourself in pictures is one form of sharing what is inside you, so is expressing your thoughts in text rather than images.

Opinions like estimates are merely one's thoughts on a particular subject. Just because you have them doesn't make them right nor better than anyone else's. They are uniquely yours and many times sharing them with someone else gives that person a different viewpoint with which to see a problem or situation and in that it can be very helpful.
Or you just have opinions in a general way. Whatever.
When I share MY opinions, I am sharing what I think. That is all I am doing. WHAT YOU DO WITH THAT IS YOUR PREROGATIVE.
When I comment on sexual orientation for example, I am sharing the benefit of my thoughts, experiences, my research into the subject, and again. You are free to do with the information what you will. BUT I AM NOT trying to get you to agree with me. I am NOT trying to steer you in a particular path. I am merely saying what I think...and I am responsible only for that, not for how you perceive it or what actions you might take thereafter.
In life, it is IMPORTANT that we share with each other so that collectively we can grow. Life is about LEARNING.
When you watch the news, it is to gain information. Commentary merely fleshes out the raw news a bit and is merely one person's or one editorial board's view on that news. But then it is up to you what you do with it IF ANYTHING.
So, remember. I share my thoughts and views...my perspectives. Then it is up to you to do what you will with what you read IF you do anything at all. When I do it it IS me TRYING to inform, educate, and enlighten.
I hope I am doing a good job of it, but you will be the judge of that.

Pretty self-explanatory. These are by the way OPINIONS...which tend to be
short statements while commentaries are generally speaking much longer and
deal in greater depth.
Hope I have made my point.
Last but not least, I have repeatedly said that I am all about FREEDOM AND HUMAN RIGHTS, and to a certain degree yes that does involve sexual orientation...but in truth, it affects EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE.
